I Still ♥ UW March and Rally
Last year, the I ♥ UW rally touched off a series of historic protests in defense of our rights as students, teachers, and workers. Over 1000 Students, TAs, PAs, RAs, Lecturers, Faculty, Staff and many others marched down state street demanding better support for our learning and teaching conditions and delivered thousands of Valentines to Walker. For many of us, it was our first time experiencing the power of collective action in defense of what we all knew was priceless: quality, affordable education and workers' rights in Wisconsin.
The Teaching Assistants’ Association (TAA), UW-Madison’s graduate student employee union, calls on students, campus workers, and community members from around the state to march again to deliver valentines to Walker. Let’s remind Wisconsin that we are still fighting for our rights as students and workers! TAA members will have valentines for you to sign, or print one out and bring it to the event, using the image found here.
